As work continues on the new Driver Development Track, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park released a layout image of what drivers can expect in the new year. The following is a release from the CTMP website:
The new Driver Development Centre is a 2.88 km (1.8 mile) road course built to FIA standards that will be used for car racing, motorcycle racing, driving schools, motorcycle schools, car clubs, manufacturer events, lapping days and many other activities. The new track will continue to be home to the Bridgestone Racing Academy.
The track is equipped with an extensive pit lane and state-of-the-art race control, including classrooms and hospitality space.
The facility also includes a 1,000- x 150-foot skid pad complete with a large power circle.
