Ryan Blaney wins Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Ryan Blaney thrilled the huge crowd on hand at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, winning the Chevrolet Silverado 250 with a last second pass to take the win over German Quiroga Jr. The #29 Brad Kesolowski Racing Ford driver took the win by a mere 0.049 seconds.

The duo was followed to the line by Erik Jones. Andrew Ranger of Roxton Pond, QC was the top finishing Canadian who brought home the #53 Mopar Ram in fifth place.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series returned for their second race of the season on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s historic road course. As in May, Ontario driver J.R. Fitzpatrick was the winner, claiming the Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200 by 1.142 seconds over Jeff Lapcevich. Marc-Antoine Camirand finished third to complete the podium.

Sunday's racing action also saw the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin complete their weekend doubleheader. Scott Hargrove took the win in Platinum Cup over Spencer Pigot. Jerimy Daniel was first in Gold Cup and Chuck Harris took the victory in Silver Cup.

In the season finale for the Canadian Touring Car Championship, Remy Audette was the winner in Super Touring, Damon Sharpe in Touring and Normand Boyer in B-Spec. Roger Ledoux claimed the championship in Super Touring, Michel Sallenbach in Touring and Boyer in the B-Spec class.
