Ryan Hunter-Reay has multi-year stability in the IZOD IndyCar Series from a sponsorship aspect.
DHL, the world's leading logistics company, announced it has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Andretti Autosport and will serve as the co-primary sponsor of Hunter-Reay's car.
"It's outstanding news for the team and me," said Hunter-Reay, who was a featured speaker at the IZOD INDYCAR World Championships news conference. "It's a multi-year deal, which is great for all of us, and there's a lot planned for this partnership."
Hunter-Reay and DHL officials will unveil the car at the DHL regional headquarters in Plantation, Fla., on March 8. The bright yellow, red and white car will make its debut at the season-opening Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 27.
"I'm just proud to run the DHL colors and represent them his year," said Hunter-Reay, who is entering his second season with Andretti Autosport. "Most importantly, I see it as something moving forward into a new era with Andretti Autosport. I've never really had a continuity program like that before to where I could come back and work with all the same people and continue from where I left off the year before. That's what I'm really looking forward to. I look forward to working with Mike (Conway), Marco (Andretti) and Danica (Patrick) and everyone on the team."
As the Official Shipping and Logistics sponsor of Andretti Autosport, DHL will serve also be an associate sponsor for the car driven by Conway.
