In Canada's top stock car Series, defending Series Champion D.J. Kennington of St. Thomas took the checker flag in the Vortex Brake Pads 200, edging 2010 winner J.R. Fitzpatrick of Cambridge. Kennington passed Fitzpatrick in Turn 8 on Lap 50 of the 51-lap race to pick up his 10th career victory and his first in a road course event. Road course veteran and Campbellville, ON native Robin Buck took the final step on the podium.

The Vortex Brake Pads 200 will be telecast by TSN on Saturday, July 2 at 1:30 pm ET.

The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship held its second race of the weekend and much like the first, King City, ON native Richard Boake was the winner in the Super Touring class, edging Amherstburg’s Dean Fantin by 0.390 seconds for the second straight day. P.J. Groenke of Toronto won the Touring Class after winning on Saturday.

Innisfill resident Matthew DiLeo won the Can Am Cup after taking the second race of the Ontario Formula Ford Championship F1600 Saturday/Sunday doubleheader. Five-time winner Shane Jantzi of Ayr, ON was second.
