UK race car manufacturer Radical Sportscars has established its first Canadian Distributor - Radical Canada - to serve the Canadian market with Radical's exciting line of race cars, authentic parts and accessories, as well as a full suite of racing and track-day services.
Since 1997 Radical Sportscars has become the world's leading manufacturer of racing and track day cars. With over 230 cars sold last year alone - and over 1600 being raced and enjoyed by enthusiast owners around the world - Radical is the largest maker of race cars in the world today. Radical is committed to creating incredible "value for performance" sports racers for club racers and track day enthusiasts that are affordable to both buy and run.
Radical Canada will be based in the Greater Toronto Area and carry the full Radical car line-up as well as parts, accessories, and services. Long time Canadian racers Robert Burgess and Mark Ryhorski will serve as the executives.
Radical Canada has also established the 2013 Radical Canada Championship, run in conjunction with CASC, which will visit CTMP, Shannonville and Calabogie in 2013. Open to all Radicals, the Championship builds on the successful history of one make championships in Canada and Radical spec series around the world.
"With Radical series being very popular around the globe - from Europe to the US to Australia - there is no reason to believe it won't be popular in Canada as well," says Robert Burgess. "There are approximately 20 Radicals in Canada already so we are also creating a new opportunity for those existing Radical owners to have a fun and competitive forum to enjoy their cars. Once people get a sense of how awesome the cars are I'm sure the series will grow quickly."
The full suite of services will be offered both at Radical Canada's GTA facility and track-side at all events of the Radical Canada Championship, including race and track day rentals for those who wish to try the car before purchasing.
"We will offer something unique in Canadian racing in terms of the level of support we can offer anyone who buys a car," says Mark Ryhorski. "We want to make it as easy as possible for car enthusiasts and club racers to realize their dreams of competing in a purpose built race car without having to invest in all the infrastructure and expertise typically involved. We'll offer a full range of support services from complete 'arrive and drive' packages to being at the track with spare parts and expertise should any Radical owner need help during a race weekend."
