GRAND-AM Road Racing has issued fines to the No. 6 Ford/Riley and No. 10 Corvette DP teams that compete in the Rolex Sports Car Series, as a result of a post-race incident at the end of the April 20 event at Road Atlanta.
The No. 6 (Michael Shank Racing - pictured as #60) and the No. 10 (Wayne Taylor Racing) teams were found in violation of Sections 2.8 (“each member is expected to conduct themselves in a professional and sportsmanlike manner”) and 2.9.3 (“entrants are at all times responsible for the conduct of their competitors”) of the GRAND-AM Rule Book. No. 6 driver Antonio Pizzonia and No. 10 driver Max Angelelli were involved in the incident at the pit lane entry.
As a result, both teams have been fined $2,500.
