Robin Buck will be behind the wheel of the #66 Quaker State Dodge this weekend as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opens competition at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Buck is always a contender for the victory at his favourite track and this weekend should be no different.
The #66 Quaker State Dodge will have a familiar look to it as well as they return to their paint scheme from 2011. That was a very good year for the Campbelleville, ON driver as he claimed his first series win at Circuit ICAR and also scored the victory at Trois-Rivieres later that summer. Including his two victories Buck finished on the podium in four events that season.
“I hope we can have that same kind of success this year” said Buck. “Our car was really dialed in and we were very competitive everywhere we raced. I can’t wait to get on track this weekend,” he added.
The partnership with Robin Buck and Quaker State goes beyond the race track as well. Buck will bring the #66 Quaker State Dodge to several Ontario locations over the summer months to five fans the opportunity for an up close look at these race cars. “This is the really fun part” said Buck. “To spend some time with fans and talk to them about what we get to do in these cars and to see the excitement in their faces is priceless” he added.
A complete racing schedule for Robin Buck and the #66 Quaker State Dodge team has not been finalized as yet but they are hopeful of adding more events later in the year. “We’d like to announce more than the season opener but we just can’t do that yet” Buck stated. “But we’re working very hard to make things come together to expand the program”.
The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series action begins with practice and qualifying on Saturday May 18 and the race takes place Sunday afternoon at 1PM Eastern. Race fans will be able to watch the race in High Definition LIVE on CTV as well.
