Lamborghini Huracan

It's not everyday that Lamborghini introduces a new supercar. Sure, they make countless revisions to their models on a yearly basis, but on an entirely new platform, that's something special. This is the new Lamborghini Huracán, a true Gallardo successor.

Although the engine is based of the Gallardo's 5.2L V10, it is now capable of producing 610 horsepower and 414 lb-ft of torque, which is even more powerful than the LP570-4 Superleggera. It's also lighter too, thanks to a new carbon-aluminum chassiss that not only reduces the weight from the outgoing model, but increases structural rigidity as well. All of this should make the new Huracan sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds up to a top speed of 325 km/h.

A new 7-speed double clutch transmission takes the stage, which is a Lamborgini first. They're calling it the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione or LDF for short. On the braking side of things, carbon ceramic discs are standard, which is to expected from a modern supercar. In the interior you'll find a new 12.3 inch instrument panel that delivers all the information needed to the driver, from the typical gauge info to navigation maps and even the infotainment functions.

The Huracán is produced at the Automobili Lamborghini headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese and will make its world public debut at the Geneva Motorshow in 2014.
