Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance ushers in new era of luxury experiences Sept 14
Experience the romance of the international concours d’elegance on the shores of Georgian Bay. Honourary Co-Chair Jason Priestley joins an esteemed list of judges from around the world in presenting the first-ever Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The Canadian premiere of a tradition of excellence dating back to 17th century French high-society, Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance is a rare opportunity to view the most pristine examples of automobiles from the last 100 years. General admission tickets are $25, and VIP packages range up to $1,100, with some that include a return flight with Porter Airlines.
Lush fairways and windswept coastal vistas will provide the backdrop to the celebration of fine cars. Cobble Beach Golf Resort Community is a location on par with most elite concours from around the world including Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California.
“If ever there was a Pebble Beach of the north, this is it. Breathtaking scenery, wonderful countryside, and close to home,” says Steve Plunkett, renowned car collector, organizer of Canada’s largest car show, and special advisor to Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Over a hundred examples of automotive beauty and ingenuity hand-selected from private collections will compete. Each tells a unique story of the North American love-affair with the automobile.
Adored throughout the automobile community, Margaret Dunning, 103-year-old longtime car collector and restorer from Plymouth, Massachusetts, will attend with her trademark 1930 Packard 740 roadster, hot-off-the-heels of her spotlight appearance at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
