The Carrera GT is long past its production cycle, but that hasn’t stopped Porsche’s development efforts on the super sports car. The company has partnered with Michelin to develop a new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire to replace the current Pilot Sport PS2, the culmination of 10 years of development for the perfect Carrera GT tire. Featuring specification “N0,” the Pilot Super Sport is made on the same production line as Michelin’s racing tires and uses different compounds on the inside and outside treads, for maximum performance and up to 20 per cent greater mileage on the track.
