Lexus announced it will debut its all-new RC Coupe at the Tokyo Motor Show on November 30, 2013. The striking new two-door will offer a 3.5L V6 gasoline engine and Lexus's award-winning hybrid powertrain, complemented by a 2.5L engine.
The coupe design extends the Lexus lineup using brand-new design cues and the widest and lowest Lexus “spindle” grill, while the trigular headlamps are reminiscent of the company’s flagship LF-LC supercar. Ten-spoke, 19-inch wheels and five-spoke 18-inch wheels finish off the radically-designed exterior.
Inside, the RC uses similar design cues. Dramatically contrasting materials and colours accentuate the sportiness of the new coupe, with lighting accents that reflect upwards to truly showcase the work within. Genuine shimamoku wood trim finishes off the unique styling.
A 7-inch navigation screen and layered console design houses Lexus's first remote-touch interface to offer users a system designed for complete functionality and entertainment.
For the passengers, the seats were designed using an integrated foaming construction method (similar to racing seat production) to ensure optimum comfort, support and stability.
