Along with the North American premier of the 911 Carrera 4, Porsche has announced the unveiling of another compact sports car for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

With sales of the 2013 Boxster already underway, it is believed the German manufacturer will use the showcase for a new edition of the Cayman. As a 2013 model hasn’t yet been announced, it would seem to fit the compact sports car description, and most likely use the Boxster's 2.7-litre, flat-6-cylinder, boasting around 265 hp.
