Pootmans, driving a BMW 328, led the Super Touring class with a quick lap of 1:31.317, which was just over two tenths of a second faster (0.226) than the G1 Racing Hyundai Genesis of Sasha Anis (1:31.597). Dave Ciekiewicz of Donington Motorsports was third in ST with a time of 1:31.643 in his Subaru WRX STi.
In the Touring class, Michel Sallenbach of Octane Motorsports set the pace in his Mini Cooper with a time of 1:36.263. Anthony Rapone of Durabond/Compass360 Racing was close behind (0.544) in his Honda Civic Si with a best lap of 1:36.807. M&S Racing’s Tom Kwok was third in Touring with top time of 1:36.900 in his Honda Civic.
The 30-minute weekend qualifying session will get underway on Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m.
