2013 casc announcment bfgoodrich

BFGoodrich Canada and The Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs-Ontario Region (CASC-OR) have teamed up to launch the biggest tire contingency program for GT racing in Ontario. The CASC-OR is the province’s governing body for road racing.

The three year agreement positions BFGoodrich as the title sponsor of the CASC-OR’s premier GT Challenge division for the season. The contingency program supports both GT Challenge and RaceOntario GT Sprints presented by CSC Racing Products competitors.

The announcement was made Saturday at the racing industry’s biggest consumer show, the Canadian Motorsports Expo.

“BFGoodrich has a strong road racing heritage and we’re excited to build on that legacy in Ontario through our new partnership with the CASC,” said Robert Haggart, motorsports manager for BFGoodrich Canada. “On the race track we clearly demonstrate the exceptional performance of our tires and equally important is the opportunity to engagage with motorsports enthusiasts
with whom we share a passion for racing.”

“We are delighted to welcome BFGoodrich as a new marketing and contingency partner for our GT racing programs,” said CASC-OR President, Perry Iannuzzi. “ It’s rewarding to see BFGoodrich recognize the value of CASC and our grass roots motorsports activities and provide what could be the richest tire contingency program ever for GT club racing in Canada.”

CASC 2013 ProgramSpecific details of the contingency program will be released in the near future and will include race event and year-end awards that could total more than 45 sets of tires for BFGoodrich-shod competitors, a significant number for grass roots racing programs in Canada.

The seven-race BFGoodrich® GT Challenge features sports cars in five classes ranging from Corvettes and Porsches to Hondas and Volkswagens. The season opens May 4 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) and includes stops at Shannonville Motorsport Park (near Belleville), Calabogie Motorsports Park (near Ottawa), along with four more rounds at CTMP before ending there Sept. 28.
