The Victoria Day SpeedFest is on this weekend here in Canada, but if international races are more your thing there is no shortage of them taking place. Among them is the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, and one team to pay close attention to will be that of STI - Subaru Motorsport.

STI will take part in the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race for the 6th consecutive year from 17 to 20 May in Germany with a vehicle whose performance has been enhanced from its base car - the WRX STI four-door sedan.
Following the class wins in SP3T in 2011 and 2012, this year STI will be aiming for their third victory in a row. The team will strengthen the competitive edge of the car by means such as a further lowered centre of gravity, and run the car in an endurance race in the VLN series in April at Nürburgring for settings to be made before they go into the 24-hour race on 19 and 20 May.
In addition to the development of the car, Hideharu Tatsumi will take the helm of team operations as team manager. As for team drivers, two European drivers, Carlo van Dam from Holland and Marcel Lasée from Germany will join Toshihiro Yoshida and Kota Sasaki from Japan. As in previous years, service personnel selected from Subaru dealers in Japan will be dispatched to the race as part of the team crew.
