Amongst all the hustle bustle of the yesterday's Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway, we want to congratulate Ford on its almost-unbelievable 1,000th NASCAR win. Greg Biffle piloted the car to victory, capping a streak that began with Jim Roper's win in Charlotte in the very first NASCAR-sanctioned race on June 19, 1949. It is Biffle's first win this season and Ford's third in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The win also came on Ford Motor Company's 110th anniversary. To celebrate, here's a look at Ford's racing history, beginning with Henry Ford's 1901 race victory that helped launch the automaker.
