With just over a week until the final American Le Mans Series Race at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, Falken Tire announced the addition of Porsche's newest factory driver, Nick Tandy, to drive the Falken Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. He last drove with Falken at the season-opening 12 Hours of Sebring where the team took third in GT. He joins the existing driver lineup of Bryan Sellers and Wolf Henzler for the 10-hour endurance event.
"I'm really looking forward to coming back to the American Le Mans Series, back to Falken and also back to Road Atlanta," said Tandy. "After the team's great performance and result at Sebring when I last competed with Falken I'm hoping for more success and will be pushing flat out to achieve this."
Tandy's return will also be celebrated with a new, one-time livery for the last ALMS race. The team moves away from the popular green and blue for a grey fighter-plane inspired scheme designed in the Forza 4 Motorsport video game by Kevin Neuville of Belgium. The competition was a partnership between Microsoft's Turn 10 Studios and Falken, where Neuville's design was voted by Facebook fans as the winner from over 200 designs. Following the race on October 19, the car will travel to Las Vegas to be put on display for the SEMA Show November 5-8.
