Audi joined forces with the designers from Italdesign Giugiaro to create the design concept you see here. Dubbed the Nanuk Quattro, the company is calling the concept a high-performance car with versatility. What does this mean exactly? Despite its car-like stature, this is indeed a crossover.
The 5.0L V10 TDI might seem a bit hefty, pushing 544 hp and 737.56 lb-ft of torque at just 1,500 rpm, but Audi says the core of the Nanuk concept is a vehicle that is equally at home on the road, track or rough terrain. The V10 turbo diesel is positioned longitudinally in front of the rear axle, travels to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and has dynamic steering which can help correct your angle for stability, and an electronically controlled adaptive air suspension system.
There are no plans for production at the moment, but one has to question if there will ever be demand for a two-seater with the supposed flexibility of a crossover. Off-road racing anyone?
