Ah, the storied Nurburgring Nordschleife. Stage of some of the wildest, most legendary racing of all time (remember Fangio in ’57?), a manufacturer’s dream testing facility and home to a whole lot of chalk graffiti.

There have been some wild things here, and while the car you see in this video may not be the wildest, the fact that it’s even here is a revelation in itself.

What you’re seeing is a development hack of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG; that’s V12 power you’re hearing, to the tune of what will likely be power figures in the 630 horsepower, 740 lb.-ft. region. That’s a lot of oomph, and you can see by the body movement of the car in the vid that the big, biturbo V12 is doing a good job of hustling the 2,500 kilo-plus machine along.
