Quebec-based racer, Jesse Lazare has announced that he has joined Micks Motorsports for the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series road course events starting with the season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Victoria Day weekend (May 19).

"This is very exciting - it was hard to keep quiet about it," Lazare said. "I want to thank DoorDoctor.com for all their support, along with Garaga. I know both Kerry Micks and Mark Dilley are front runners in the NCTS, and to be able to join their team is just a dream come true. I can't wait to get in the car and start testing."

Micks Motorsport is happy to get the chance to work with the three-time Canadian National Karting champion. "Jesse's reputation in karting is second to none, and I know he had a lot of success in the open wheel cars he was driving last year," Mark Dilley said. "He's young, has a lot to learn, but he is one of Canada's brightest up and coming drivers, and we can't wait to start working with him this year."

Kerry Micks will be behind getting Lazare up to speed. "We have a good testing plan in place to get him up to speed in these cars," Micks, a winner at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and at the Grand Prix of Trois Rivieres said. "As soon as the snow is gone, we'll get him in the car."
