A new vehicle model is bound to start a buzz, and Lexus is the latest in the round of freshman faces in the luxury compact SUV segment, with the all-new 2015 NX.
As demand in the market continues to grow, the Japanese automaker is offering the all-wheel-drive (AWD) NX with two of its latest powertrains: a specifically-configured Hybrid Drive system, as well as an all-new 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine. Both versions will be available in the F Sport package, featuring exclusive trim and colour options, and improved handling characteristics by way of adaptive variable suspension.
Styling is highlighted by the trademark “spindle” grill and sharp bodywork, while technology on the NX is geared toward a dynamic experience, highlighted by a number of Lexus and world-firsts:
- A wireless charging tray for portable devices
- A touch-sensitive Lexus remote interface with touch pad
- g-force sensor and boost meter in the multi-information display
- Heads-up display, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert
- 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine with water-cooled cylinder head and integrated exhaust manifold and twin scroll turbo charger
Also a first in the segment, rear passengers are treated to added comfort with optional rear power seats which can be folded for additional storage from the rear seat or luggage area.
